Junior Racing Program
Enjoy more time on the water in sprint kayaks & canoes. Improve your skills and fitness in preparation for exciting camps and competitions on Vancouver Island and beyond! You’ll become part of a club that fosters new friendships, offers unique travel opportunities, and provides NCCP certified coaches. Max 10 participants. Ages 11-14.
Objective
High performance group training to move into Racers (as well as a recreational program for older kids who want to paddle frequently but not competitively)
Goals
- Develop athletic skills
- Social - build friendships as part of the team
- Life experience - travel and personal growth
Structure
- April - September
- Padding, 3-4 practices/week
- October - March
- Paddling, 3 practices/week
- Running and Strength, 2 practices/week
