Junior Racing Program

Enjoy more time on the water in sprint kayaks & canoes. Improve your skills and fitness in preparation for exciting camps and competitions on Vancouver Island and beyond! You’ll become part of a club that fosters new friendships, offers unique travel opportunities, and provides NCCP certified coaches. Max 10 participants. Ages 11-14.

Objective 

High performance group training to move into Racers (as well as a recreational program for older kids who want to paddle frequently but not competitively)

Goals

  • Develop athletic skills
  • Social - build friendships as part of the team
  • Life experience - travel and personal growth

Structure

  • April - September
    • Padding, 3-4 practices/week
  • October - March
    • Paddling, 3 practices/week
    • Running and Strength, 2 practices/week
